Position: Freelance Webmaster

Salary: Contract

Full/Part Time: Contract

Description:

Knowledge and experience with website design, HTML, Javascript, database development, relational database design, and database protocols.
Must be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers and computing platforms.
Experience in the creation of web-based applications using, ASP, JavaScript/VBScript.
Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects.
Ability to clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job processes.
Must be able to monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge.
Significant Programming experience, preferred languages, Perl and SQL.
Familiarity with installing, maintaining and programming RDBMSes. Postgres*, MySQL and MS SQL server a plus.
Understands object-oriented programming concepts and their applications in Perl.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, Associate's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; or 3 to 5 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must live in the Lewiston, Maine or Portland, Maine area!
